VCW / 002 — Dual 1218 — Death Note

Starting point. A Dual 1218 — still in progress on the workbench, but far enough along to show.

The build. Custom solid pine plinth, two-tone finish in glossy black and transparent red. Wiring completely replaced. Single-speed 33 RPM with pitch control — simplified and more stable than a multi-speed deck. Fully manual operation with lift. Motor, belt and suspension inspected.

Result. Comes with a brand-new Audio-Technica VM95C cartridge.
